Smoking kills. Yet, this fact doesn’t seem to do much to prevent people from lighting up. What are other smoking side effects that could lead people to think twice before they light another stick? Here are 3 scariest smoking side effects.
1. Buergers Disease. This disease is characterized by insufficient blood flow in the veins starting from the fingertips or toes. When there is not enough blood flow, tissues will die resulting to the discoloration and numbness of the affected area, akin to gangrene. When this happens, it will slowly spread throughout the body. What is the best remedy for this? Cut the affected part. This means that you could have your legs and arms cut-off overtime.
2. Cancer. This is, of course, the scariest of the smoking side effects and includes all sorts of cancer, actually. Cancer patients do not only suffer health-wise but they also suffer emotionally and financially - including their families.
3. Smoking deposits fats in the aorta. What is an aorta? It is the largest artery in the body, which is located in the heart. If your aorta is clogged-up with fats, blood cannot circulate causing heart problems.
Ultimately, smoking leads you to a slow and painful death. You can always say, “My doctor can always do something about it.” True, but the most that your doctor can do is to lengthen your life for another day; and if you only got a day to live, would it not be great if you can spend that day in some place amazing with the people you love and not on your death bed? In whatever way you look at it, you will never win against these smoking side effects if you do not quit smoking.
The Danger Of Smoking

Smoking kills people, but this does not seem to be much of a concern for those who smoke. Death may not be a frightening consequence of smoking. However, the following are the 3 most alarming dangers of smoking:
1. One danger of smoking is that it is of 2 types - primary and secondary smoking. If you smoke, it is primary smoking; if you smoke around children, the children become secondary smokers. Did you know that everytime you smoke around infants you make them inhale a total of 102 cigarette packs by their 5th birthday?
2. Smoking destroys vital organs in the body and causes complications to existing health problems. It takes the life of a person every 8 seconds totaling to 440,000 deaths a year. This significant number sends a message that people do not value life anymore, which is very sad because life is in fact, priceless. The reason why? There are no spare souls sold in stores.
3. More and more children suffer due to the loss of a parent from smoking. The best gift parents can give their children is to keep themselves healthy, because nothing compares to the love and attention real parents can give. Having just one parent is good enough, but why should you settle for something that is only good enough when you could always have the best - a mom and a dad?
The danger of smoking primarily lies on each of us. If you want to unleash these dangers, then smoke. But why opt for that when we always have the power to make the world a better and safer place for everyone?
